New Year – New Term

Welcome back everyone into our new 2016 term at Fun Lodge.
As always we have a lot planned for this term and again will be updating the website regularly to inform you of the activities we are involved in at our setting. Firstly please have a look at our new term newsletter which you can access by clicking the blue link below.
Fun Lodge newsletter January 2016
Again this term we will be using our notice board at the enterance to our setting to inform those of you who use our service as well as visitors to the setting the weeks activities we have on offer. This notice board has been a great way of communicating between the staff and the children of the setting as well as with the parents/carers, the church community and other users.
In December, a group of children within the setting put on a small pantomime performance for the other children and staff. This was created by the children involved and was overseen by our staff member Celine due to her background in this field. It was a fantastic performance which was thoroughly enjoyed by both the other children and staff. Due to this being a success it has been discussed and suggested that we put on another performance for the parents and carers. This is still to be confirmed as to when it will take place.

The first holidays occur in February and as Fun Lodge holiday cover is concerned we will be open on the following dates from 8am - 6pm Tuesday 16th February and Wednesday 17th February. Fun Lodge will also be open throughout this week for after school care 3.30pm - 6pm for Calderwood Lodge pupils who are still in school.
Fun Lodge February Holiday Dates 2016
Fun Lodge are again offering during the spring holidays a holiday club service. To accommodate all our different schools holiday dates we propose to offer a holiday club during the weeks from Friday 1st April through to Friday 29th April 2016. Again we can only open if it is viable for us to do so. We ask if you are interested in our holiday club then please contact our setting or complete the attached form and hand into the setting before Thursday 4th February to confirm your interest.
Fun Lodge Spring Holiday Club 2016
Our AGM has been arranged for 6.30pm on Wednesday 20th January 2016 at Fun Lodge premises (Merrylea Parish Church). Everybody is welcome and we hope for a good turnout.
At Fun Lodge we are constantly evaluating our service. The children are asked to evaluate the service we provide during term time, this was done last week in the setting and once compiled, the results will be available for all to see. We also ask for the parent/carers views on the service we provide. Below is a copy of the questionnaire we hope you are able to fill out and return to the setting or through email to funlodge@virginmedia.com. If this could be completed and returned by the 29th January then these results can also be compiled and these results can be shown also.
